Privacy

Last updated October 2026. Chatelle Ltd (“Chatelle”, “we”) runs the Chatelle private office service.

The short version

  • Your household’s information belongs to your household. We use it only to run Chatelle for you.
  • Each person sees only what their role allows. Our own team sees system health, not your diaries, messages, documents or vault.
  • We never sell your information or use it for advertising. It is never used to train AI models.
  • You can download everything, or ask us to delete it, at any time.

What we hold

Names and email addresses of the people you invite; what you put into Chatelle (tasks, messages, diary, contacts, documents, travel, homes, rotas, hours); and basic records of activity (who did what, when) so you can see an audit trail. If you connect a calendar, we read the events in it.

Why we hold it (legal basis)

To provide the service your household has asked for (contract), to keep it secure and working (legitimate interests), and where the law requires us to.

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase: database, storage and sign-in (data stored in the region chosen for your household).
  • Vercel: hosting the website.
  • Anthropic: the AI that reads messages and documents and answers questions. Used under commercial terms; your data is not used to train its models.
  • An email provider for sign-in links, and, if switched on, a speech-to-text provider for voice notes.

Each acts only on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

For as long as your household uses Chatelle. When you leave we delete it within 30 days, apart from what the law requires us to keep. Error logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your rights

You can see, correct, download or delete your information, object to how we use it, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Your principal or PA can download the whole household from Settings.
